Holy Week & Easter 2019

PALM SUNDAY (14 April)

10.55am Palm Procession & Mass of the Passion

Procession begins at St Alphage Church Hall (Playfield Road).


Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey, and the crowds proclaim Him as king.  Our joyful procession reenacts that journey.


(15th-17th April)

Monday 9.30am & 7.30pm - Mass

Tuesday Chrism Mass with the Bishop of Fulham - 11am at S. Andrew's, Holborn

7.30 pm Mass

Wednesday 9.30am & 7.30pm - Mass


7.30pm Mass of the Lord's Supper followed by the

Watch until Midnight


Jesus celebrates the Last Supper with his disciples.  

He washes their feet, and gives them a new commandment to love one another.  

He takes bread and wine and declares them to be His Body and Blood, thereby instituting the Holy Eucharist.

He then goes to the Garden of Gethsemane to watch and pray, and asks His disciples to do the same.

GOOD FRIDAY (19 April)

9.30 am Walk of Witness from Annunciation,

Thirleby Road

2pm - Celebration of the Passion of the Lord


Jesus is sentenced to death, and dies upon the Cross.

We hear the story, and respond with prayer.  We Adore the Holy Cross, and receieve Holy Communion.

11am - Children's Service


8pm - The Easter Vigil


Jesus passes from death to life!

We light a Fire and Candle, and give thanks to God for Christ, the light of the world.  We hear the story of our salvation from the Bible, bless the Water in the font, and celebrate the First Mass of Easter.

EASTER SUNDAY (21st April)

11am- Parish Mass


He is not here, He has risen!  The disciples discover the empty tomb.  Jesus has risen from the dead - the Resurrection!  We praise our Risen Lord, and thankfully receive His Body and Blood in Holy Communion.
